Share information and ensure everyone understands

Your new membrane deck needs to be specified by the person in charge of the building project as there are liabilities associated with design, materials and installation. Be sure that all people involved in specifying and building the project understand the the design and installation details and process.

Ventilation

In order to keep your decks substructure and decking boards in good condition, it requires adequate ventilation.
Ventilation will reduce mould growth and make your deck last longer. Moisture is the No#1 cause for deck degradation.

Do not void your warranty - ventilate your deck.

• Any deck less than 300mm from the ground must use plastic clips to ensure a 5mm gap between boards

• Any deck less than 300mm from the ground with little air flow we recommend using a ventilation grate laid in place of one row of decking boards for every 20 decking boards laid.

• please see our suggested installation method for ventilation grates.

• We recommend having 1.5 degrees of fall in your decking substructure.
