An expansive exterior space for staff to enjoy at the Genesis Energy headquarters in the Central Park One business park.
Project challenges:
Commercial loading was required for this communal recreational space for staff to enjoy. Ventilation and a flush level between indoor and outdoor spaces was also a consideration.
The solution:
Initially the architect intended to use hardwood on a steel frame but decided on Outdure’s products for their moisture resistant properties and low height capabilities. The pre-assembled QwickBuild aluminium frames each measured 8m x 2m, lifted onto site by Hiab truck. The 175m² deck, designed for a 5 kPa load rating, took only three-and-a-half days to install.
