The Beach House is the centrepiece of the Pacific Coast Retirement Village and includes three large balconies.
Project challenges:
Compliancy for aged care facilities and a low height profile to ensure a flush finish between interior and exterior floor levels.
The solution:
Prefabricated QwickBuild frames, with joists at 350mm centres for compliance loading, were installed over the concrete substrate with waterproofing. Vitex decking boards were sourced by the client.
C3 Construction had never worked with the QwickBuild system before however the site team were really happy with how straight and lightweight the joists and bearers were to work with, plus the ability to use adjustable screw jacks rather than trying to rip down timber was noted as a huge advantage and a real time saver.
