How a Decking System Can Make Or Break Your Outdoor Living Space
Barbara and Paul knew exactly what they wanted when updating and extending their outdoor deck. Having moved into their house not long ago, they wanted to update their outdoor patio area, create a perfectly level indoor/outdoor flow, all while making sure it was something that was low maintenance – and they knew they wanted tiles. So, when Barbara & Paul commissioned Daniel and his team from DW Landscaping the brief was very specific as they knew exactly what they wanted.
That is how Daniel, Director of DW Landscaping, came to know about Outdure’s QwickBuild system and their decking, pavers, and synthetic grass ranges.
“I have been in the landscaping business for 19 years servicing Taupo, Rotorua, Gisborne and surrounds and not living in Auckland I hadn’t really heard of Outdure”, said Daniel. “So, when the owners requested the product, I immediately contacted PlaceMakers in Taupo who have recently started selling Outdure – they were great and very helpful”, said Daniel. “I just provided my square meterage that I needed, and the product was delivered.”
Having never used Outdure decking system before, Daniel did not realise how great the product was. “It was so perfect for this customer’s project because Outdure’s QwickBuild system can go so low to the ground, I had to have a frame 120mm off the ground to make it flush with their back door. Also, it is aluminium so being that close to the ground it won’t rot, so your maintenance is a lot less. Also, timber shrinks and moves, this is never going to move, so you get a perfectly straight deck. Basically, the finish is so much better – 10 years down the track it is going to look the same”.
Daniel went on to say “I absolutely loved working with Outdure’s product range – I had a quick rundown of the product, but it was so quick and easy to build, all the boys in the team got it pretty quickly!” Our client wanted tiles, I haven’t seen a system before that can lay tiles so easily as it does, the tiles went down so quickly and were perfectly straight – to be honest, the finish was fantastic”.
With just his first experience with the QwickBuild decking system, Daniel is an advocate of Outdure for the following reasons:
1. Quick & easy to install
2. Perfect for decks that need to be built close to the ground, so it will never rot or deteriorate (Profiles for all 3 finished deck heights from under 100 mm – 3m+)
3. You get a perfectly straight deck that doesn’t shrink & warp like timber
4. You can lay whatever surface you want on the top – structural tiles, hardwood timber decking, composite decking, or even turf.
“I have already quoted my next job using Outdure, I liked it so much,” said Daniel.
