The client’s brief to the architect and project manager was to design and refit a currently unusable wraparound balcony space into an outdoor area the company staff can enjoy and have social gatherings. The three balconies with a total area of 500m2 were repurposed from unsightly machinery and services to a clean open space using a combination of all three of Outdure’s surfaces.
Project challenges: To work around hidden pre-existing skylights and to protect the existing waterproofing was protected.
The solution: To ensure the membrane wasnt compromised the floating QwickBuild frame system on adjustable pedestals provided the frame solution. The variety in the aluminium profiles allowed for a flush solution of external surface materials and the internal floors.
