Forecourt redevelopment

The Thomas Cherry forecourt has been transformed into a durable, low maintenance shared space.

Project challenges:
Preservation of the well established Red Gum trees was an important part of the brief. The design needed to give enough flexibility to the installer to avoid damaging the roots of the trees.

The solution:
The innovative design by Melbourne landscape architects Papworth Davies created a two-tone effect by combining Resortdeck colours Sea Salt and Havana. Custom-built seating is integrated into the design of the forecourt to improve functionality for this high traffic zone.

Education, commercial, repurposing

Australia
